It seems as though genetics has blessed me with my father's ability to put off today what can be done tomorrow. I am not complaining because I have also inherited his abilty to step up when the pressure is on. Which leads into the reason for the creation of this blog.
4 years ago I felt inspired by the Lord to write a year-long daily devotional. The goal was to expound upon the promises God has shared through His word in an attempt to facilitate my mom and brother's salvation. Since that time, I have only written 31 pages yet both of them have asked God to forgive their sins. This emphasizes to me that God does not "need" me nor a devotional to accomplish His will.
Lately, I have felt more prompting to complete that which the Lord began to inspire. I also know that I earned the name "Doncrastination", so I am creating this blog to put more pressure on myself to meet some deadlines. I am committing to posting a new devotion every Tuesday & Friday! I welcome your prayers as I will only write what I feel is inspired from God. It is my sincere desire that this devotional will help others to know God in a deeper and more personal manner.
